I'm a data analyst and a Formula 1 fan, and GIO F1 Analytics is where the two meet. A race weekend produces an enormous amount of data: every car's speed, throttle, brake and gear several times a second, every lap time, every tyre, every radio message from race control. Most of it is never looked at twice.
I take that data and turn it into posts you can read in a minute: who was quickest where, what a tyre does over a stint, how a championship is really being won. The analysis is mine, from the raw sources up, and every figure on a slide can be traced back to where it came from.
How I work
Numbers first, then the story. A post only says what the data supports, and when a figure is a model (the cost of a pit stop under a safety car, the power a car puts down) or a prediction (the strategies before a race), it is labelled as one. When the data is incomplete, the post says so instead of filling the gap.
Where to find it
The main feed is Instagram, @gio_f1_analytics, with every race weekend covered from the preview to the result. The same posts also go to TikTok.
